Stayin’ on track is an online resource for young Aboriginal fathers.

The website features honest and uplifting interviews with young Aboriginal dads from Newcastle, Tamworth and Moree in northern New South Wales (NSW). In the videos, dads candidly share their experiences and give advice about ‘being a father, tough times, culture, the emotions on finding out, feeling down, and role models’. The website advocates the importance of leaning on mates, family and networks during tough times, and acts as a portal to link users to information and support services.

The content and design of the Stayin’ on track website was guided by young Aboriginal dads. The resource was produced as part of a joint venture between the University of Newcastle and the Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre. The website is optimised for smartphone use.
