Alcohol and other drug work: an insight into the role of an Aboriginal alcohol and other drug worker
Nowra, NSW: South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation

This DVD resource has been developed to provide new Aboriginal workers and trainees with a culturally appropriate insight into the role of an Aboriginal alcohol and other drug (AOD) worker and briefly demonstrate the level of support that is required when working with Aboriginal clients while dealing with AOD use and addiction.

This resource is divided into two sections:

  • an insight into the role of an Aboriginal AOD worker
  • a client’s ‘journey of healing’.
