Clean teeth for life: child oral health
Darwin: Northern Territory Department of Health and Families

The Clean teeth for health resource kit, produced as part of the NT Government’s Helping Hands project, contains a variety of resources focusing on the oral health of Indigenous children and babies. The pack contains two DVDs (one educational and one for use in a waiting area), a poster and stickers. The educational DVD follows a family’s visit to a dental hygienist and provides information on establishing and maintaining good oral health, as well as a demonstration on how to brush children’s and babies’ teeth. The resource kit is useful for Aboriginal Health Workers and community groups and suitable for clinics and schools.

Fact sheets focusing on regular teeth cleaning, good nutrition, drinking water, fluoride and regular dental visits are forthcoming.
