The theme of this conference was Healthy footprints – leading generational change. The conference looked at how allied health professionals are helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to lead healthy lives and create brighter futures for themselves, their families and their communities. It focussed on the importance of allied health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and how the allied health, medical, nursing and Aboriginal Health Worker workforces can contribute to sustainable approaches to generational change and improve access, affordability, appropriateness of health service delivery and promote health careers for future generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
