Indigenous eye health measures 2016
Canberra: Australian Institute of Health and Welfare

The Australian Department of Health has funded the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare for three years to develop and report annually on a set of Indigenous eye health measures. This first report includes wide-ranging and comprehensive eye health data at the national, state and regional levels. The measures cover the prevalence of vision impairment and blindness; diagnosis and screening; treatment; workforce and outreach programs. They provide an evidence base for monitoring changes in Indigenous eye health over time, for assessing access to and use of eye health services and for identifying gaps in service delivery.
