Indigenous health podcast series
Melbourne: Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists

The Indigenous health podcast series has been developed to provide an introduction to working with Indigenous patients.Content covered in the podcasts includes an introduction to Indigenous culture and asking about Indigenous status, as well as information on communication, patient consent, diffusing anger, pain management, pre-operative visits, and traditional parenting techniques specific to Indigenous Australian people.
The podcasts were developed by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), and are aimed at rural and regional fellows, trainees and international graduate medical specialists; though the principles discussed also apply in urban practice.
