Managing emergencies in general practice: A guide for preparation, response and recovery is a report produced by The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
The aim of the guide is to assist general practices to better prepare for, respond to and recover from the impacts of emergencies in Australia. The guide has been designed as an educational resource for general practice staff during emergency preparation and response efforts.
The report covers three main headings:
- introduction to emergency planning in Australian general practice
- emergency planning and response
- mental health in emergencies.
Additionally, the guide provides information on the roles and responsibilities of relevant national and state arrangements, organisations and committees, as well as useful websites, resources and mobile applications.
