A lot of Aboriginal men sort of keep it to themselves is an educational DVD aimed at assisting health professionals in opening discussions with Indigenous male patients. Discussions about the link between chronic diseases, such as coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes, and erectile dysfunction (ED).

The DVD includes a series of interviews with health professionals working with Indigenous men and medical specialists with expertise in male reproductive health. The interviews provide information on:

  • male friendly health services
  • strategies to use when starting to work with Indigenous males
  • talking about sexual health issues with Indigenous males
  • the link between chronic disease and ED.

The DVD was produced by Andrology Australia with assistance from their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Male Health Reference Group.
