Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers: caring for our people
Canberra: National Respite for Carers Program

This resource was developed by the National Respite for Carers program, in order to inform and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers. A booklet explains the role of a carer and provides some practical advice to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers in their role, such as taking care of yourself, money matters and where to get help and advice. The booklet is part of a resource kit, which consists of the booklet, an emergency care plan, an emergency care wallet size card, a pen, a magnifying ruler, magnets, a hat and a cloth satchel.
