“Bad sugars – bad eyes” [online video]

‘Bad sugars bad eyes’ is a short animated educational video designed for Indigenous people with diabetes. It aims to highlight key patient information about diabetes and its effects on the eye, and the importance of annual eye screening in order to increase awareness in the Indigenous Australian community.
The video is freely available through Lions outback vision for all clinics and health practitioners seeking to use it in their regular practice.
The video was awarded first prize at the 2012 Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologist Annual Scientific Congress Film Festival.
