Benny’s journey
Brisbane, Qld: Queensland RHD Control Program
This resource aims to raise awareness of rheumatic heart disease among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
The 12-minute cartoon, developed by the Queensland Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) Control Program, is aimed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. It helps explain:
- what RHD and acute rheumatic fever (ARF) are
- why Bicillin injections are important
- why a doctor should be seen immediately if a child has a sore throat.
The video is available in two versions: English and Torres Strait Creole.
