Can you hear me? [online video]
Paddington, NSW: Metro Screen
Can you hear me? is a 16 minute and 57 second video which aims to promote awareness about the educational impact of otitis media (OM) in children.
The video begins by following Jilly, an Indigenous kindergarten student who suffers from OM, on a regular day at school interacting with her peers and teacher. The video highlights the difficulties Jilly experiences communicating and how her hearing is affecting her learning development. With support from her parents, teacher and practitioner Jilly’s hearing is restored at the end of the video.
The video was produced by Metro Screen as a part of the Australian Government’s Care for kids’ ears campaign.
