This website has been designed to promote the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged populations through creating and sharing new media information in ways that empower individuals, families and communities. HITnet was developed as part of a wider approach to addressing the persistent health disadvantage of Indigenous Australians. The website contains sections on how health is promoted through new age media; information about current and upcoming projects; and information relating to touchscreen kiosks and the national network. The National HITnet Development program is led by the University of Queensland.
