This resource is one of a series of messages providing information about cardiovascular disease for Indigenous Australians as part of the Stayin’ strong program.
This podcast includes information on understanding the signs of a heart attack and the appropriate action to take. It also includes a message from the Heart Foundation on the importance of calling triple zero (000), and statistics related to heart attack in the Australian population. It runs for 1 minute and 17 seconds.
The Stayin’ strong messages were originally aired on Indigenous radio station, 98.9fm, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander listeners in south-east Queensland and were funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
